Why do I need temporary fencing on a construction site?
Temporary fencing helps keep construction sites safer by controlling access, protecting equipment and materials, and creating a clear separation between the public and active work areas. Depending on the location and nature of the project, fencing may also be required under Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) which states “if work on a project may endanger a person using a public way, a sturdy fence at least 1.8 meters in height shall be constructed between the public way and the project.” (O. Reg. 213/91, s. 65).
How much does temporary fencing cost?
Temporary fencing costs depend on the amount of fencing needed, rental length, location, delivery distance and whether you need installation and teardown. Site Secure keeps overhead low so we can offer competitive pricing and straightforward quotes.
Do you deliver temporary fencing?
Yes. Delivery is available throughout Southern Ontario. You can choose delivery only, delivery with installation, or full-service delivery, installation, teardown and collection.
Can I pick up the fencing myself?
Yes. Pickup is available if you would like to save money and handle setup yourself. This can be a good option for smaller jobs, simple layouts and customers who want the most cost-effective temporary fencing rental.
Do you install temporary fencing?
Yes. Site Secure can deliver and install the fencing for you. We can also return when the project or event is finished to take it down and collect it.
What colour fencing is available?
Site Secure offers temporary fence panels in black or silver. Black is a great option for events, commercial properties and public-facing areas, while silver is a practical choice for construction sites, repairs and general temporary fencing needs.
What size are the fence panels?
We keep the process simple with one standard fence panel system, 6 feet high by 10 feet wide. Instead of sorting through unnecessary options, you can tell us the approximate wall length, perimeter or area you need secured and we will help determine what is needed.
How much temporary fencing do I need?
If you know the approximate wall length or perimeter, send that to us. If you are not sure, describe the site, event area or access points you need controlled and we can help estimate the amount of fencing required.
